SAFE AND
SOBER PROM NIGHT – PREVENTING ACCIDENTS BEFORE THEY OCCUR
Despite what
you may have heard, trial lawyers really do care about the safety
of our communities. The primary goal of a trial lawyer and our
tort system is to keep people from being injured by deterring
dangerous and irresponsible behavior that leads to accidents. It
is only when our society fails in its primary goal that we must
look to the secondary goal, which is compensating the victims of
the carelessness of others.
In
furtherance of that ideal, there is
nothing more important to this law firm than helping our area high
school students stay safe and sober. At Larson Law, we want not
only to reduce injuries, but prevent them from occurring.
According to MADD, more
than half of all alcohol related traffic fatalities involving
teens occur during prom season. To
raise awareness of the danger to our students, the Springfield
Public Schools Foundation and Larson Law have established
Safe and Sober Prom Night.
Safe and Sober Prom Night
encourages seniors to take a pledge - a written commitment to
their parents - to stay drug and alcohol free on prom
night. Students are given incentives to keep their commitment,
including a chance to win cash, contributions toward their senior
graduation party, t-shirts, and discounts from community
businesses on prom related expenses.
At Larson Law, we hope to
leave the world at little safer than we found it. For more
information about Safe and Sober Prom Night, see our

THE OZARKS GREENWAYS
ADVENTURE RACE – PLAYING HARD WHILE HELPING TO EXPAND GREENWAYS
Larson Law is a proud sponsor
of the Ozarks Greenways Adventure Race, which is a unique type of
teamwork challenge event. This grueling 8-14 hour race tests the
skills of self-supporting co-ed teams of four. Teams compete
together on a course of running, mountain-biking, orienteering,
canoeing, and mystery events. All distances and itinerary are kept
secret until the day of the race.
The best part of the program
is that every dollar goes to develop public greenway trails in the
Springfield, Missouri area. For more information about this event,
see the website at
www.ozarkgreenways.org.
