These days, it seems like everywhere we look we are bombarded with television, phone book and other marketing by lawyers who claim to specialize in representing clients with personal injuries. Like anything in life, looks can be deceiving. If you are hiring a personal injury attorney based solely upon a television commercial, a billboard, a phone book advertisement or a direct mail solicitation, you are making a potentially huge mistake. The amount a lawyer invests in marketing does not suggest they are the right lawyer for you. We have all seen the TV ads with a celebrity endorsing a lawyer on TV; but remember that same celebrity probably shoots dozens of those commercials in a day and knows absolutely nothing about the qualifications of those lawyers using this paid actor in their commercials.
